“Growing self-esteem, one pupil at a time”

Established in 2006, the Maman Dion Foundation’s mission is to “encourage the pupil’s fulfilment, the development of self-esteem and the desire for success at school for young Québecers aged 6 to 16 who are from disadvantaged backgrounds.”

Several events and fundraising activities are organized by the Maman Dion Foundation. Thanks to the funds raised, projects such as the distribution of school materials for families in need are made possible.

Busy Bees Packaging contributed to the 2015 back-to-school project run by the Maman Dion Foundation. The project promotes a successful back-to-school for all Québec children.  It’s thanks to the distribution of backpacks filled with tools to be used for school work that children from poor families can also take part, and go back to school with pride. The Busy Bees Packaging staff got involved to distribute pencils, binders, highlighters and other tools among the few hundred backpacks which were distributed just before the start of the 2015 school year.

Do you wish to get involved to help a child go back to school with pride? You can sponsor a child, offering several items, or a complete backpack!
